SESDA II Ends on a (Very) High Note

NASA evaluators have awarded ADNET’s SESDA II team the highest award fee score in SESDA history – 97.4 out of a potential 100. This is the third consecutive 97+ score received by the team as well as the third consecutive score increase. Since Team ADNET began work on SESDA II in 2006, yearly award fee scores have never been lower than 93.5. This also is the final award fee score for the SESDA II contract.

“It is a tremendous honor to officially complete SESDA II operations with such high recognition,” said ADNET CEO Ashok Jha. “Everyone associated with the SESDA II program should be proud of this accomplishment and of the continued improvement in every facet of our operations.”

SESDA is the premier space and Earth science contract at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Approximately 350 scientists, engineers, IT experts and educators work under this contract supporting a broad range of science and engineering disciplines, including solar and space plasma physics, astrophysics and astronomy, planetary studies, atmospheric science and climatology, and electrical and mechanical engineering.

With SESDA II complete, ADNET has started work as the Prime Contractor on SESDA 3. They are joined in this 5-year, potentially $249 million contract by two major subcontractor teammates: Wyle Information Systems and Telophase Corporation.

ADNET Systems Inc. is an award-winning contractor supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Department of Transportation (DOT), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and other agencies. Founded in 1991, ADNET has earned numerous high profile awards and accolades, including two consecutive selections as NASA Goddard Small Business Contractor of the Year – the only small company ever to receive this award two years in a row. ADNET also was Goddard’s 2009 and 2011 nominee for NASA’s prestigious George M. Low Award, the top quality and performance award for NASA prime and subcontractors.
