ADNET's Research Support services provide support to educational institutions to further their research efforts. One example of our support to research efforts involves support to a University.
ADNET provided significant research effort support to Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) when they acquired a satellite ground station under grants from NOAA and the Office of Naval Research. The system is used to process, catalog, distribute, and use data from the NASA Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS) instrument and NOAA Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer Sensor (AVHRR) instrument.
ADNET designed the SeaSpace TeraScan Satellite Lab to allow configuration, data management, and network management from within the lab via a network management workstation. The TeraScan Satellite Lab includes a full suite of software for the TeraScan system which consists of four software products:
1. TeraVision is the GUI for displaying and manipulating TeraScan data images and overlays.

2. TeraPGS (TeraScan Product Generation System) is a system for automatically generating and distributing products according to user specifications.

3. TeraCapCon is the TeraScan Capture Control GUI that enables the user to program the system for the automatic capture, archiving, and processing of satellite data.

4. TeraMaster is a GUI for viewing, creating, or modifying defined areas of interest.
Knowledge of this software allowed our staff to generate image products, configure the system to automatically send data to other computers, and instruct others on basic usage.
