ADNET added the Department of Interior as a customer in 2008. Supporting the Department of Interior’s U.S. Geological Survey’s Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) data center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, ADNET will perform satellite data processing, development and implementation of archiving and data distribution strategies, help desk support, and outreach tasks. EROS is the primary data processing, archiving, and distribution center for the LANDSAT remote-sensing satellite, as well as being the Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP-DAAC): the national data center for studies involving vegetation, erosion, and other climate change indicators.
